About the Image(s)

The image this month is of a snowy egret that seems to be dancing a ballet. It is an older file. I could not locate the original, but the intermediate that I edited is attached. The file was edited in adobe camera raw to lower the highlights and increase the black in the background. The shadow under the wing was reduced and the eye enhanced. Distracting elements in the background were removed, and the background edited to bring it up to a black background.I think the image was taken at Alligator Farm in St. Augustine.

f/5.6, iso 200, 1/1250 sec, focal length 108 for 4/3 sensor, spot metering.

Fantastic image, Candy. I can't wait to visit the Alligator Farm. Great diagonal and such beauty and action. I don't have anything to suggest, but hoping to someday have you show me how to shoot something so beautiful.   Posted: 09/03/2020 20:44:24

What can I say Candy, another classic pic. The bird is active and in flight, what else could you wish for, great effort.   Posted: 09/06/2020 01:42:37

Just Lovely.
You already know just how much I love this image.
It really deserved the 10, wish it could have been higher.   Posted: 09/07/2020 17:03:48

The contrast is amazing. The level of detail captured is great. I love the choice to darken the background.   Posted: 09/16/2020 09:20:48

Amazing image. Almost looks like a martial art fighter focussing prior to strike! Wow.... Love it!   Posted: 09/17/2020 13:44:41
