About the Image(s)

This month’s image was taken on a recent trip to the UK. The sheep there roam freely. This particular group was lined up perfectly and looking straight at me. The image was cropped, color adjusted and darkened. A vignette was added and the image sharpened. A few sheep near the edge were removed.

Nice directing lines and story. I find the top edge a little tight - maybe could be improved by getting a little bit of the clouds (toned down!).
Funny looking creatures...
I tried to uncrop a bit on the top and then used the progressive filter to progressively tone down the top portion. Difficult to get what I wanted with this small original - is it possible that the sky was overexposed on the original? It could not keep a nice gradation on the contrasty sky.   Posted: 11/02/2019 16:04:55

So adorable! Really a wonderful "awwwww..." moment. I really like both your version and Pierre's version. If you wanted a bit more room, perhaps a few closest to the top could be removed. Really fabulous.   Posted: 11/02/2019 20:04:10

I don't know how you train them to line up for you Candy but I think it is a cute pic. I agree with Pierre and Brenda's comments. Well done.   Posted: 11/03/2019 17:48:25

Looks like the front sheep is smiling at you! I love the way that you have cropped this. By eliminating the sky, you have removed the bright background, concentrating my view on the sheep. How did you get them all to look at you - you must have worn a funny hat!   Posted: 11/07/2019 16:32:09

I love the strong diagonal line you have going on in the piece. I really get a sense of movement form the piece. Beyond that I really like how you cropped the piece. Just as the others said it really adds to the piece and it is really well done. I agree with Mervyn in that I love how they are all looking at you.   Posted: 11/08/2019 10:44:07

Nice composition and cropping to get the light sky out of the image and focus the eye along the line of sheep. Getting the sheep to pose was great - maybe you are a sheep whisperer?   Posted: 11/09/2019 18:48:49
