About the Image(s)

The shuttle and astronaut were at the Smithsonian Museum near our Daughter’s home on the east coast. The space station and earth was from a NASA image. I had to fix the bottom of the shuttle to cover up the wheels that it sat on and remove some other objects that were in front of the right wing. The astronaut was hanging on wires from the ceiling. I sized and positioned them in space, hopefully to look more real.

David you have created an interesting cameo although to be picky the astronaut is out of proportion to the space station and shuttle but smaller it would be lost and not telling the story. Well done   Posted: 05/16/2020 15:39:26

Yes, I thought a lot about the perspective size of each - but this was the best I came up with and use the photos I took. Also, with the size of the space station relative to the shuttle, the astronaut would be about a mile away form the station and that would have never happened. I think the space shuttle was used to build the station, but I don't think it was ever used after the station was finished to transport astronauts. I thought a good story might have been with the shuttle doors open and the Hubble telescope on the boom, but that wasn't at the Smithsonian Museum.   Posted: 05/16/2020 18:04:57

Very nice! The earth even appears in 3D which helps make the scene seem possible. The proportions don't bother me at all since its a fun scene.   Posted: 05/20/2020 21:46:03

Scale notwithstanding, it works well in 3D. My only comment is that the nose of the shuttle looks a bit flat.   Posted: 05/21/2020 14:11:38

Excellent composite in 3D. I think this image needs a frame in our site as the background is black. Except the relative size, everything fits well. Nice work.   Posted: 05/22/2020 13:11:53

This image is very well done with what you had to work with. The shuttle is coming out of the window, which it should. I agree with Mohanan that the image needs a border.   Posted: 05/22/2020 15:10:27
