About the Image(s)

y journey home after the Spokane conference had a detour due to a missed connection and I ended up at O'Hare airport in Chicago. Walking through the hallway connecting Terminals B and GF, I noticed these lighted globes for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I took several pictures, one of which had three heads in it at the bottom of the image. I left the heads in for this image because I kept going back and forth as to whether to crop them out or leave them in...normally I would crop them out but they do give a little perspective even if it's only the heads...what do you think?

I cropped on the left side and top of the image to eliminate some distracting lights and brightened the image just a tad. I decided not to use Shadows and Highlights because I did not want to bring out details in the shadows which would add visual confusion near the globes. The darkness behind some of the globes helped them stand out.

Nice 3D image! In my opinion the heads are not in the focus of the image and I wouldn't have even noticed them if you hadn't mentioned them. I would have removed them. The hall and windows give a good perspective of the size of the balls.   Posted: 10/13/2019 18:26:03

Interesting image looking up at the globes and whilst I do not generally object to heads in this type of picture I think the half a head should have been cloned out. Well seen and taken.   Posted: 10/14/2019 13:33:57

A very good 3D image. The image is sharp and the globes give a nice 3D effect. I would have trimmed a little from the bottom to remove the heads.   Posted: 10/28/2019 01:30:56

The full view gives a good sense of space. I might have cropped a bit from the left side. Not to remove the heads, but to remove the brightest window and the extra ball which pulls focus from the others.   Posted: 10/30/2019 11:48:39

Yes, great point. I didn't see that left-side ball doing that (pulling the focus) but now that you mentioned it I do.   Posted: 10/31/2019 17:13:06
