About the Image(s)

The PSA Pittsburgh Conference was held at the downtown Marriott. Across the street from the hotel is the ice hockey arena for the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Paints Arena. The reflective glass on one side of the arena had nice leading lines to the back where there were some flags which, from this angle, you couldn't see other than what was reflected in the glass. This was taken with the Fuji W3.

Interesting composition. Nice colors; I would have liked to see the camera moved to the right to open up between the trees and glass building.   Posted: 06/18/2018 16:15:22

I agree. I tried this scene from several angles but there were disadvantages. When I moved to the right to put separation between the trees and side, the reflection of the flags was lost or squished. And also, the vanishing point would have been more centered which I also wanted to avoid. I thought this was the best view available but its probably not ideal.   Posted: 06/18/2018 22:28:39

Nice composition. The image is sharp with beautiful colors and leading lines. Overall lighting and 3D effect are also good. The slightly dark area on the right side can be corrected using shadows option in photoshop.   Posted: 06/19/2018 14:18:00

A very nice subject - The colors really pop between the green and blue sky. think that cropping a small amount at the bottom would be helpful - the post on the left side seems to be a bit submerged relative to the grass. Other than that, beautifully done.

Great view of an all glass reflection. I agree with the other comments on the colors and sharpness.   Posted: 06/21/2018 23:04:11
