About the Image(s)

I decided to try an experiment; As I was watching the New Year's Day Rose Bowl Parade on TV; I set up my camera on a table and took photos every 1 second; I picked two shots that I thought might work. I did some adjusting of the left and right images in Photoshop and also cropped for the best effect. My idea was to make the Float in the parade float in the air.

You did a good job of making it float in the air. The float is all in 3D as well. Did you blur the people of is that the way it worked out? I have 2 comments/suggestions. 1 the shadows of the flowers on the street are floating in the air as well. If you can, you might move the shadows in PS so they look like they are on the street. 2 the whole image has a rather unreal lavenderish tone. Is that intentional? If not you might adjust the color in PS to make it look a bit more real. None the less, it's a very interesting image.   Posted: 01/14/2018 13:20:31

Nice work. The float is flying in the air. Yes, the shadows of the flowers are also in air. It is better to clone out those shadows.   Posted: 01/25/2018 13:36:06

This is a great idea to meld a small item into a different context. If I could do one think to improve this image, it would be to try to level the float so that it looks like it is co-planar with the road surface. This could be done by photographing that item so that the base is congruent with the surface of the road. This can be a difficult task: I think that if you just photograph it at a different angle, it would markedly improve the result.   Posted: 01/26/2018 18:38:56

Attached is an edited version with the shadows moved to look like they are on the street. I'm afraid that I can't photograph it at a different angle since I took the photos on New Years Day....   Posted: 01/27/2018 12:11:52
