About the Image(s)

I love the way lichen moss droops and gives such a dreamy feel to images. I had nice light on some here, but I fear the rest of the scene is a bit busy or less interesting. Do you think a tighter crop would work better?

Superbly executed, Jack. Your post-processing spot on, and I like the overall impact you've created.
Though busy, I like it as is and wouldn't consider a tighter crop.

Hi Jack,

ETHEREAL...I am picking up on your style! I like it as is, and the treatment in post-processing is on the money in my book.   Posted: 10/03/2020 09:08:08

Jack

Trees and IR go together like Mom and Apple Pie in my book I love your dreamy composition with a splash of light here and there. No crop needed. My only wish I had is: a little more grass in the foreground to set the stage.

Well Done

Jack, I like the dreamy feel this image gives me and the composition provided with the tree and limbs leads my eye around the image. The sepia toning works well in my opinion. Only critical comment is that I wish there was more room at the base of the tree to give it a stronger foundation rather than to have it be so close to the edge.   Posted: 10/05/2020 20:41:14

Thanks all for the comments, and to john and Emil in particular, I agree, that a bit more foreground is called for.   Posted: 10/05/2020 20:44:06

Jack, You are the king of IR trees! One more gorgeous one. As usual your delicate post processing is lovely. It does fell a little tight to me, and would like a little more room on the left as well as the bottom.   Posted: 10/06/2020 11:49:23

Jack, moss gives this image a very arty look, just as though you modified it in Photoshop. I agree with your thoughts about it being busy, but that's Mommy Nature. Perhaps darkening the trunks of the distant trees would give you the simpler structure you want?   Posted: 10/07/2020 11:07:21
