Beautiful image, Emil! It's got so many of my favorite tools for adding depth to landscapes - fence, road and tree line. But I particularly like the soft way you've presented this. I have a feeling you may get some comments asking to up the contrast a bit. I have been tending towards higher contrast myself, but here, the softness doesn't feel flat, but rather, adds a certain mood to the scene, a wistfulness. This sky is one area that might benefit from either just a touch of contrast or a touch darker, but even as is I enjoy this very much.   Posted: 09/07/2019 09:49:29

Hi Emil
Although the landscape is beautifully portrayed in terms of composition and other supporting elements, I feel it needs a touch of additional contrast.
With this in mind, I took the image into PS and played around with sliders in Levels. Also did some selective dodging and burning to see what you think!!   Posted: 09/08/2019 01:34:34

Hi Emil,

I peeked at Palli's version in full size, and I agree completely on the need for some darkening, contrast and corner burning. The scene, in my view, is still tranquil and peaceful with these adjustments but has more visual impact.   Posted: 09/08/2019 10:12:54

Emil, this is a perfect composition. The fence line, dirt road and highlights in the field draw the viewer into this scene. Perfect as it is, I like Palli's adjustments too.   Posted: 09/09/2019 10:40:15

Emil, this is beautiful. A lovely composition. The softness of the conversion is just right. I would add just a little contrast, but only to the sky. Well seen!   Posted: 09/14/2019 15:57:36
