About the Image(s)
I wanted to do something different this time and found my approach to achieving the desired result quite satisfying.
As usual the original image was shot with my converted IR Canon camera. Used the Nik Silver Efex Pro. Carefully removed the lamp post and power lines in the foreground. Tightened the composition. Then used Detail Extractor and Darken / Lighten Presets from Color Efex Pro. Also selectively lightened top of the trees to get some glow. Reduced noise within reason. Finally took the image in Lightroom and applied Creative Cool Light to get the moon light effect that I was after.
Your views would be most welcome!

This certainly is a little different from your usual submission. I like it. I enjoy the way the picket fence makes my eye wander through the image and lands at the building. I understand that you wanted to make this look like a night shot, but the process has made it very contrasty and some areas have lost detail. Still a very interesting picture.

The effect you've worked to create is very pleasing...well done for working to be 'different'. In this case, given you want to simulate moon light, I added 55% Glamour Glow from Nik ColorEfex Pro. To my eye, this looks more true to moon light. I also thought the foreground could be lessened to accentuate the white fencing and idea of a pano view of the home. See what you think of my version.   Posted: 03/05/2019 10:01:49
I really like what you have done to the image in bringing about the moon light effect. Thanks for sharing your views and help.

You have reintroduced us to what is fun about IR photography: Using it to creatively render unexpected interesting images. Creating a moonlight effect is a breakthrough. With this particular image does the luminosity of the fence dial in or dial out the illusion?   Posted: 03/13/2019 17:07:36
