I like the way the sidelight on the roots brings out the texture and contrasts with the dark trunk and water. The bright halo in the reflection hints at a bright background above where the image is cropped. This adds some interest for me.   Posted: 08/09/2019 10:19:22

Yes, I agree the texture is super, and the reflection too. I think there's a bit too much reflection, maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the photo could be removed from the bottom to accentuate the tree?   Posted: 08/09/2019 11:09:37

This is a very dramatic image to me. I see the bottom providing interesting leading leading lines, not to be cropped. I would like to see the shoreline straightened a tad though.   Posted: 08/12/2019 18:42:51

I find the image fitting for supporting a certain sort of story. Edgar Allen Poe like. On dark, moonlight night before macabre things happen. Nicely done.   Posted: 08/13/2019 18:14:38

Very interesting image which looks like hand and the claws of a demon. I liked the way reflection merged with the roots. Good exposure, texture and patterns.   Posted: 08/29/2019 04:22:12
