How I Did It: This image was taken indoors with window lighting and a tripod. My objective was to include the entire center portion of the dahlia with the petals as an accent.

Beautiful flower. Sharp throughout. The pink of the tips of the petals is a beautiful accent to the central part of the flower. Perhaps a bit more contrast.   Posted: 10/04/2020 15:23:58

Hi Pricilla
I love the colors and sharpness. The backlighting on top of flower adds more color. Good job!

Hi Priscilla: You have your window lighting down to a science as the soft lighting fits the flower well, also you have maintained texture in the white flower petals. The darkened background to the left works, and your choice of border treatment does a good job in framing the subject and separates the picture from the black background of our webpage.   Posted: 10/08/2020 01:26:17
Hi Priscilla,
Besides the beauty of your subject, the sharpness of every petal and your framing choice are great!   Posted: 10/16/2020 12:36:22
