About the Image(s)

Spanish Blue-bells

DATA: Nikon D700 with 200mm Nikon macro on tripod --- ISO 640 --- 1/50 @ f/8 --- soft-gold reflector --- cloudy, no wind.

Maker's Aims and Comments: Photographed in our home garden, the background is out of focus flowers in the distance.

Have always thought the background in the close-up photography of flowers should enhance the main
subject and not be a distraction, I hope this background is pleasing and supports the main flower group well.

I think you achieved your purpose with the background. Lightening up the upper part of the green stem would hold
the image together better. Also the image gets darker as the eye goes up the image. Could be lighter, especially the
upper blossom.   Posted: 05/10/2020 16:20:06

Hi Murphy, I really like this. The blue against the blue is great. And the bokeh is perfect. Great image.   Posted: 05/17/2020 07:41:25

NICE BLUE BELLS LOVE THE BACKGROUND THAT BLENDS WELL WITH THE SUBJECT, HAS THE GREENS AND BLUES OF THE FLOWER AND THE GREEN OF THE STEM. NICE AND SHARP YOU CAN EVEN SEE THE SMALL SPIDER WEBBING.   Posted: 05/17/2020 19:59:02
