About the Image(s)

DATA: Nikon D700 with Nikon 200mm macro lens on tripod. ISO 1250 1/60 @ f/16 --- slight breeze and cloudy dull lighting. Photoflex soft-gold reflector used to reflect some extra light on front of flower.

Maker's Aims and Comments: I like the artistic design of the Comfrey flower. This is a culinary herb and is a garden escape growing wild in suitable conditions for the plant. It prefers full sun and was photographed in its natural setting.

A lovely image with excellent focus. The plain background complements the green foliage and the flower. If I were to make a totally "nit-picking" comment it would be on the out of focus "hairs" on the vertical stem of the plant. I admire and find interesting all of your images. Color, lighting and composition are always excellent as in this image.   Posted: 01/08/2020 18:44:43

Hello Murphy, nice subject. The flower color of purple is subtle the background is outstanding. Which makes a great separation. Good work.   Posted: 01/12/2020 19:07:19

Hi Murphy, what a beautiful image! I loved "the artistic design of the Comfrey flower". The colors work so well together, the focus is wonderful showing the hairs, and a well thought composition makes it an image of great impact. Wonderful work!   Posted: 01/25/2020 18:04:43
