Hi Paul, great capture really like the orange and yellow with the soft shadows against the black background. Could you Please share the camera, lens and settings you used? Great photo.   Posted: 01/12/2020 18:58:50

Welcome to Group 63. Looking forward to seeing more of your innovative images. The interesting part of your image is how you captured the precise moment when the match tip was half lit. Patience was applied! Appealing colors and fine focus on the portion of match stick not in flames.   Posted: 01/20/2020 09:59:07
Thank you Priscilla,The setup was done with markups so that every time I use a new stick composition remains the same. Have to reconfirm focus before every attempt. I did manage to a few keepers pictures in the same series with a clear match tip but the flare shape and colours were not as good as this one. Persistence payed off   Posted: 01/21/2020 10:11:56

Hi Paul, welcome to group 63! What a wonderful, original image. Your determination did pay off. The tonal range of the flame is very interesting against the black background. And I love the focus, showing details of the match. Great image!   Posted: 01/25/2020 18:13:52
