About the Image(s)

How I Did It: This image was taken in my "indoor studio" using window light and a tripod. After several attempts of not cutting off edges this is what I came up with. I started off with Nik's detail extractor and used PSE for resizing only.

Camera settings: f18m 4 sec, ISO 200

Hi Priscilla, love the lighting and detail of the flower. I did something similar with rocks and a rose. I like the color and background. Good work.   Posted: 01/12/2020 20:01:35

Hi Priscilla: Over the years you have mastered window lighting very well, your pictures are always lit very evenly and always have great colors without any harsh shadows. You found just the right shade of pink background so it blends perfectly with the pink flower. Very sharp detail on the petals and also on the interesting prop you used. Nice Work!!   Posted: 01/15/2020 19:25:45

Hello Priscilla, amazing colours and awesome composition, was wondering how the image would have looked without the vase. I feel that badge on the vase is drawing my attention away from the flower . Artistic and wonderful image .   Posted: 01/21/2020 08:54:53

Hi Priscilla, I like the composition and the combination of very different material, which is not an easy thing to do. I like having the background color similar to the flower's. I thought that maybe a lighter color tone in the background would complement the flower in a more subtle way. For some reason, I found the background competing a bit with the flower. Nice work.
