About the Image(s)

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

This was taken a few weeks ago in a field about 30 minutes from my home. I took my wide angle and Macro lens. I was able to get the whole field holding the camera over my head with the wide angle and snapping photos blind. This photo was at the edge. As it was a windy day I took about 50 photos with the macro. This is the one that turned out the best.

I bought the into Lightroom CC. I then did these settings:
Auto, Shadows +70, Texture +30, Clarity +17, DeHaze +9, Edge Masking +46, Sharping +95, Saturation +10, Crop.

Then brought into Photoshop CC used Healing Brush Tool to remove white between petals.

I like the crop and how you removed the white from between the petals. Its nice to get lost in the maze of the flower. I would not change the photograph. Dan   Posted: 09/01/2019 07:21:56

Hi Pat: Cropping the image from the left eliminated background distractions. The curvature of the central part of the sunflower adds some artistic value, a good close in study of the Sunflower with very sharp detail.   Posted: 09/05/2019 00:42:51

Hi Pat....We missed one another at the sunflower field. I was there too. (Check out Group 9) I like your version, you did fine work of removing the white between the petals. The central portion of the seed head is nicely detailed. Good focus throughout. Also, good color and lighting.   Posted: 09/12/2019 18:52:05

Hi Pat,
very nice focus and composition. I finally can see how the middle of the sunflower looks like. In my eyes, the angle of the leaves in the original suggest some nice movement that the edited version lost in part. Other than that, I like the image. Great work.
