I love the monochrome version. Your post-processing was excellent! The tonal quality of this image is amazing. And, I really like how the radial leaves pull my attention to the center. Sadly(?), I can't think of any way to improve this photograph!

BTW, Sedums are quite common (and easy to grow) and there are hundreds of types.   Posted: 04/05/2021 09:53:14

Thank you so much for identifying the plant. There were so many, and they were so big. Perhaps I should try to grow some.   Posted: 04/06/2021 17:52:54

These plants are wonderful to grow and require very minimal attention. Pretty purple cluster of flowers in the fall makes them a nice compliment to fading summer blooms.

Well done, There is a place for your eye to rest and to explore the texture laden petals radiating outward

Bunny,
very nice capture, and the editing works for me as well. Not much else to add. Thanks for sharing.   Posted: 04/10/2021 09:38:45

Hello Bunny,

I find this to be a lovely image of one of my favorite plants. I am captivated by the unfolding of the leaves exposing the center of the flower. The petals grab my attention and draw me into the center of the flower.

I do not have any suggestions to correct your original image. My edit is a sample of the options availing this pretty succulent plant using Silver Efex and the fine art high-key framed selection. I like this option as it opened the shadow a bit.

Best regards,

LuAnn,
Thank you for your comments. I would love to see what you did with the image, but it isn't appearing. Could you upload it again?

Hi Bunny,

That's weird, I can see the image on my screen just above your comment. Here, I will upload it again. Hope you can see this one.

I think something must be wrong on my end, because I can no longer see my own image! I've tried two different browsers. Perhaps later the Internet will straighten out itself.   Posted: 04/10/2021 16:55:19

Did you try to reboot your computer? That often times works.

It is working now. Three browsers and even my husband can't get the PSA images to show. But I rebooting. If all else fails! In any case, I do like what you did. Your version is the light side while I'm on the dark side! Definitely gives a different feeling. Thanks for the suggestion.

BTW, I recently downloaded a trial of Silver Efex. I have a few more weeks to evaluate before deciding whether or not to buy.   Posted: 04/10/2021 20:35:41

Bunny, This is a beautiful image. Excellent composition and I like your tonal ranges as they bring out the sawtooth details of the petals. Can't think of any changes I could suggest.   Posted: 04/19/2021 21:26:35
