About the Image(s)
While I do a lot of my portraits in a studio, I do really enjoy dragging my studio lights (with battery pack) on to location shoots. The shoot with model Veronique took place a the Railway Museum of Eastern Canada,
in Smiths Falls, Ontario.

This shot was taken well into Golden Hour, with the light levels falling and the sun on the camera left side and behind her, so there was not enough light fall on her face and body. She is standing on the front end of a Montreal Locomotive Works S3 switcher engine. I used a 13 ft
light stand that was almost fully extended, with a 43" / 1.1 m deepoctabox with a Godox AD-360 light with radio trigger. I also tried something a bit different in post; processing the image in the L*a*b* colour space, rather than in RGB.

I'm also going to say goodbye to all the members of Digital Dialog Group 61. My PSA membership expires at the end of April and I have decided that after three years, I will not be renewing it. My photographic pursuits are taking me in a different direction right now. I've very much enjoyed being a member over that period and I hope the best for all
of you in wherever your camera takes you!
Manfred

Manfred,
I have been a fan of your images for awhile and I have learned a lot by reading your suggestions to the other members of Group 61. Sorry to see you go and best of luck in all your future pursuits.

What can I say This shot is beautiful. I looked at the before and after and see your style showing the dodge and burn. I hope someday I can be half as good as you. Keep clicking and God bless you! I will miss you! Thank you for all you have taught me with your suggestions. Photo Friend Forever!
