About the Image(s)

1/100 sec; f/10; ISO 160, 70 mm (Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8) Photographed in studio, measured lights for a 2:1 ratio
Adjustments in LR and PS. Most of my adjustments were in PS. Added a bit of blur to the background, extended the crate that my subject was using for support. Used hue/saturation to bring down the orange color on the tip of the nose. Ran a few actions to soften and even out skin tone, sharpened and brightened eyes.

Nice shot! I've never had a lot of luck in working with young children; I don't have the eye to nail the timing of the "decisive moment".

You've nailed the shot. The outfit is cute and effective and complements the set. The crop works and has eliminated most of the distracting elements. If it were my image, I would probably burn down the very bottom edge a bit and darken it to match the darker colour adjoining it.   Posted: 12/01/2020 21:57:06
