November 2019 - Lamikia

About the Image(s)

I have photographed Lamikia a number of times and always get a different look. She does her own makeup and always does a great job. This picture was taken two weeks ago in my home studio. I took this with my Canon 80D and Canon 28 - 80 zoom lens. There were highlights in her hair that I wanted to be sure to capture, so I upped the intensity of the hair light and achieved the desired result. A main light and fill light were also used. When I made the exposure I intentionally held the camera at an angle to give the pose some added interest.

This image was processed using Photoshop Elements and Portrait Professional.

Lovely implied nude Jim. It's up to your usual high standards.

Your PoV definitely works well here Jim, it accentuates her body without taking the focus off her face. Your choice of backgrounds definitely works well with this model and makes her hair stand out. It complements those whisps of hair.

Your lighting is well controlled and accentuates some of the key areas like the shoulder blades and collar bone. These cast shadows that complement the overall look very effectively.   Posted: 11/02/2019 11:10:18

I like the composition and the lighting. I would consider burning down the bright spot on the tip of her nose just a tad.   Posted: 11/11/2019 15:39:22
