July 2017 - The Good Old Pollynose

About the Image(s)

This brought back silly memories. Taken with my walkabout pocket point & shoot, an Olympus TG-4. Selected the macro mode selection and focused at a distance of 1.7 feet. Camera did the rest — focal length 30 mm, f 2.3, 1/500th second. Used aperture to crop, add vignette, enhanced definition & highlights, sharpened radius and blackened.

Well Lou you have presented a great image again. The veins are tack sharp and for me the colors bleed from the light green into the reddish tips is very pleasing. The focus on background is handled very nicely so it does not distract from the image. A very enjoyable image for my eye.   Posted: 07/14/2017 18:30:27

This image reminds me of the "helicopters" coming down from the trees on my grandparents property many years ago. I like the composition, the colors are very good, with a nice bokehed background (I might have burned the lighter areas which I think are a bit distracting). The sharpness is really good. Very nice image.   Posted: 07/19/2017 16:51:07
