Chasing Down the Ball

At the last game of the Hartford Athletic soccer season, this was coming down the sideline. Was a good inaugural season..

Phil, good job on this one. Nice and sharp showing good action. Good image quality for ISO 6400. Bruce   Posted: 11/12/2019 20:22:28

Picture shows intensity as shown on the faces and the ball is there. Good focus and clean background. I think I would crop the foot and knee off the right edge.   Posted: 11/13/2019 01:08:40

Good action, good focus, good composition, good background, and good color. Even the other player out-of-focus in white in the background is not too distracting. Great Shot. Of course, Diane's comment on cropping knee and toe is appropriate.   Posted: 11/19/2019 14:33:16

Phil - See your comment on the foot and leg. Might want to think about slight crop on left and top. Otherwise a great shot.   Posted: 11/19/2019 16:23:36

Great action ... the shallow depth of field effectively separates the action from the background. The expressions and intensity of the players adds to the interest and impact of this image.

I like the inclusion of the third player on the left ... it provides addition "depth" to the action.

I might crop in somewhat on all sides. I don't mind that the ball ends up in the lower right hand corner.

Great shot!   Posted: 11/30/2019 11:14:40
