I like the interaction of the children with the photographer while the mom focuses on her phone. While I believe the main subject(s) are the people, the flower sculpture keeps drawing my eyes away from the people to the sculpture and thus overwhelms the scene. While it is an interesting aspect to the photo you might consider toning it down and lightening the children/mom on the bench. Edit attached may be too much but it does change look. I see beautiful leading lines in this photo which is one of my favorite compositions. The soul of the family speaks in this photo. The colors, the tree and the girls with their mother, all are completing each other.
Maybe you just need to re-edit the little white corners.
Nice work Dan!   Posted: 02/21/2021 10:13:36

Dan, this image shows what has been and now even worse, the attitude of adults holding an intelligent controlling device in their hands, and the kids minding their own business. Here they are sitting on a bench at the Zoo given by your title, but not obvious on the image. There is a very large and colorful glass sculpture in the back which is overpowering the human component, aggravated by the clear vignette that you added, all being distracting, and to make things worse, the presence of the date and count label on the image. As we discussed by email, this has to be turn off at the camera. It can not be removed using photoshop without leaving signs of doing so. I see that Bruce intended to reverse the vignette adding a dark one, but the resolution of the image is so low, that we have very few pixels to work with. I cropped the image to remove some of the real state that is distracting, but I could not remove the labels using different techniques.   Posted: 02/21/2021 14:30:03

The relationship between an adult and children is illustrated here. The 2 children look a bit bored at the photographer while the young lady looks on her mobile phone, a sign of these times. The flowers in the background are very distracting from the main subject, so I think Bruce's intervention is a good contribution.   Posted: 02/22/2021 06:32:07
