About the Image(s)

Public Transportation is what the people living in the floating fishing villages at the Ha Long Bay in Vietnam use to come to land for shopping or other errands. They live on their boats and their trade is fishing. This image was created using a Nikon D850 with the Nikkor lens 28-300 mm @ 85 mm and these settings: ISO 1600, f/ 8 and 1/500 sec. The image was PP in LightRoom for white balance, clarity, added some light to the shadows and added vibrance. Cropped as is. I am attaching two additional images : Original 1 showing the floating fishing village, and Original 2 showing the starting of the trip from the village.
If you want to see an additional image of the isles in Ha Long Bay visit group 4

Here we see local transport, strongly cut out so without other (disturbing) elements. The rower looks at the photographer while the passenger looks away. Nice reportage recording, technically in order, may have some more bright colors.   Posted: 01/18/2021 06:21:07

Isaac…Life on the water must be interesting. The boat itself looks like it has been cobbled together from bit and pieces. Good post processing to keep the center of interest uncluttered. Nice leading lines and diagonals provided by the oars and the diagonal angle of the boat itself. I like the framing of the semi-circle pipe supports that keeps your eyes on the subject and the red, green, blue color palette. The subject is all the more interesting because the man is camera aware and is engaged with the viewer.   Posted: 01/19/2021 06:07:36
