I Saw You by Marius Bodea

October 2020 - I Saw You

About the Image(s)

This photo was taken while I was visiting a fair with traditional objects that took place in a park from my city. In the composition I wanted to include the paintings made and the person who made them .... but I was noticed, with a keen eye, when I took the shot - adding an extra interest to the photo.
The settings for my Fujifilm X-T2 : 23mm F8 / 1/70 / ISO 800, edited with Capture One

Marius, the artist also noticed your presence and is also staring at you. Interesting painting with nice earth colors. The artist is also framed by the support pillars of his stand, of what looks like a street art fair. It is sharp, and nicely composed.   Posted: 10/02/2020 15:43:34

Lots of colors in the artwork and then there is the artist is white. The contrast between the artwork and artist is striking. I also like the sharp angle of the posted artwork jutting into the frame while the artist is separated on a different plane.

Marius… Judging from his paintings, this artist seems to be fairly productive. The image is well composed with 2/3rds occupied by the artwork and 1/3 of the image includes the maker. I like the gesture of the raised hand holding a drink and his white clothing which is simple and devoid of color.   Posted: 10/14/2020 06:44:45

The assignment that you have set yourself: capturing the paintings and the painter in one photo is perfect realised and in an original way. Nice work.   Posted: 10/21/2020 09:40:46

The painter looks there framed with the table and the stand, which gives the feeling the its a another photo or paint.
The idea is really beautiful and well done. The story there is nice and you can feel te emotion of the painter which is great thing.   Posted: 10/28/2020 06:56:49

I like that he not only noticed you but he appears to be giving you a serious stare. The photo is clear throughout allowing the viewer to study the artist and his work. I find the cars above the artists hear a little distracting, maybe clone them out? I would have liked to know what he is thinking as he watches you.
Nice.   Posted: 10/28/2020 10:33:33
