About the Image(s)

The photo was taken when I was walking with my family through the city of Oradea where I live, I passed that bus and caught my eye the reflection on the window and the fact that there were some people very close to the window, I framed and did only one shot.
The device used is a (crop sensor) Fujifilm X-T2, lens used XF35f2, F4 1/60s ISO 800. Edited with CaptureOne20 and Silver Efex Pro 2

Marius, very good example of juxtaposition of images creating a very complex photograph, showing several layers of faces looking in different directions except the woman on the right (my right) of the frame which is looking directly to the camera. Now, I am puzzled as where are you with respect to the picture, since the window of the bus is at your same level. Good B&W interpretation.   Posted: 09/05/2020 09:45:54

Isaac, the bus was stopped at the bus station, I was on the sidewalk passing by. I attached the original image for a better orientation.   Posted: 09/05/2020 15:13:24

Marius, now I get it. The bus is not very high, so you were at the same level s the windows. It is also interesting as how the B&W conversion shows more detail.   Posted: 09/05/2020 15:26:14

Yes, the bus was not so high and how I remember the sidewalk was a little bit higher.
Agree with you Isaac, B&W was the best choice for this image   Posted: 09/05/2020 16:18:56

Marius, welcome to the group! I look forward to seeing your images. As Isaac mentioned, your submission is a complex one of reflections and everyday life. Unusual camera position and added diagonal line creates a triangle and adds to the geometry of the image. I really like the intensity of eyes of the woman on the right which holds my interest. Good conversion to B&W with a wide range of tonal values.   Posted: 09/13/2020 07:33:52

Very fun shot, looks great in black and white. People on a bus going somewhere always adds an interesting level to the photo as one's own imagination gets to add to the story. No one looks really happy, a lot emotion played out in everyone's faces. Going home after a long day at work, or perhaps just left visiting an old friend that's not doing well. There is a a lot of feeling in this photo. Nice!   Posted: 09/14/2020 03:57:58

Wonderful processing of what might have been an ordinary image. The B&W, layers of people (in different planes) and their expressions all make this a very compelling image. Your title helps set the stage for what may be going on here.   Posted: 09/19/2020 18:57:54
