About the Image(s)

Last summer when traveling to a grandchild's baseball game in Alexandria Virginia I happened to come across a local church block party which I photographed. Shot at f16, 1/789 of a second and ASA 1000 and processed with Corel Paintshop Pro.

Jim, this image is in accordance to the current happenings, without going into a political discussion. I like the vintage like old fashion look, with the irregular frame and that overall grey haze tone which happened when the film was exposed to x-rays at the airports. Obviously, they are in some sort of dancing/celebration. Only two faces are looking your way.   Posted: 06/10/2020 08:23:52

Jim - it's all about the hands in joyful celebration. A distinct contrast to what is happening today. Nice range of tones in grays, white and black. An unusual panoramic crop that places the focus on the upper bodies.   Posted: 06/11/2020 14:54:52

There appears to be a lot of joy in this photo. Smiles, action and movement are all evident. Your unusual border and the very long horizontal cropping are add to the visual interest of the photo.   Posted: 06/12/2020 20:15:20
