About the Image(s)

This image was taken on a recent trip to Italy. In Naples we stayed overnight at a small family hotel with a room with a narrow balcony to the busy street below. The hotel fa├žade was encased in a semi-permanent state of construction pipes which is partly seen in the structure to the right of the image. Camera settings are 1/100sec, f/5.6, ISO 800. Image is uncropped, but straightened in Lightroom and global edits applied, including noise reduction.

Gloria, interesting vantage point. The scaffold and the flag are framing the woman taking the picture with the iPhone and the flag position denotes wind. The image is sharp and there is detail in the pavers of the street. The man is lining against a metallic structure, but I am not sure he is the subject the woman is photographing. The colors are intense.   Posted: 10/08/2019 15:28:40

Very nice angle and framing. The light coming from right side is perfect and the color of Italy flag are clear and beautiful. I liked also the writings on the top edge of the image which seems like it is a tourism office.

I like how the flags seem to point to the woman. Nice vantage point. You could clone out the pipe hitting the woman's head and then crop out the bottom and left sided elements to remove the distractions.   Posted: 10/25/2019 18:41:37

Soft air filled flags against brick pavers help make for interesting texture. I like the overhead vantage point as it captures interest and study. I agree with Jim to clone out pipe and then crop.   Posted: 10/28/2019 16:06:30
