Liberty Man by Gloria Sprung

June 2018 - Liberty Man

About the Image(s)

Dressed similarly to the famed Statute of Liberty and waving from busy street, this man’s job was to attract customers to Liberty Tax Services. I saw him for several days and then I decided to ask for a picture and he willingly obliged. His name is Brad. Taken with Canon Powershot 1/320 sec at F/5, ISO 125. In Lightroom I made global edits and then cropped and added a vignette in PS.

Tax time and we see Ms. Liberty smiling and having fun almost everywhere. This is a good, sharp and up close image and I would like to see a bit more of the enviroment.

Gloria, it is an iconic image of tax time, but you captured him very close and he is smiling to you. You filled the frame with his face and his outfit crown. It tells the story of the time of the year. It is sharp.   Posted: 06/17/2018 20:32:57

This is another nicely done portrait, close-up, sharp, with good details. Though dressed in this all too familiar outfit, he adds a matching green bandana, headphones, sunglasses, and a friendly smile. This photo definitely highlights the person and personality under the outfit.   Posted: 06/23/2018 21:59:18

Nice photo and subject. The message of this photo is really clear and deep. really interesting.
I just would suggest to make it more colorful and add some editing tools to make it more attractive to the eye.

Some interesting reflections in those sunglasses. Is that you in a white outfit? Nice crop to make the subject bigger than life. I see these guys all around and am always fascinated by their dance moves.   Posted: 06/28/2018 21:16:33
