About the Image(s)
"I was experimenting with paper and light, working with one flash to see what I could get. Wanted to get away from the flat paper type abstracts, so I rolled several sheets of white printer paper to make these "tubes", set up vertically. Set them on black velvet and used one flash to get different lighting effects. Shot with my Sony a6500, 90mm macro lens, ISO 100, F4 for 1/60 sec. Processed ON1 Photo RAW, added contrast, and brought down the black slider a little to blacken the background more. Colored filters were used to get the orange and blue."

Great creativity went into making this picture. Good work. It would make a fine wall hanging - print it.

I find your photo to be incredibly creative and intriguing. It's always exciting to experiment with new ideas and techniques. I have a suggestion that maybe to enhance the image even further - you could try increasing the whites and the saturation to create more contrast and bring out the colors. Overall, great job on this fascinating photo!   Posted: 03/21/2023 09:43:44
A very creative and unique image. The lighting on the tubes with the shading is excellent. I like the colors and the blending of them. I would not change a thing.   Posted: 03/21/2023 11:47:19
Love the experimentation! You captured a great abstract feel.   Posted: 03/22/2023 07:48:59
Minimalism. Shapes lines, forms, colors. Reminds me of some art history courses I attended. Less is more. A suggestion would be to make light shine from the tubes. Light source underneath with black cloth around perimeter.   Posted: 03/22/2023 21:41:09
