April 2021 - Plate Of Strawberries

I chose the best strawberries in my refrigerator and placed them on a small plate. Using a tripod, my shutter speed was 1/6 sec @ f/9.0 and ISO 200. I used my 90 mm macro lens and did my best at focus stacking.

Nice and clean. I like the composition you chose and I think you captured some nice light on the strawberries. Did you use natural light or did you have the scene lighted? My only suggestion, is it feels like the bottom of the plate is sitting on the edge of the picture. Next time I would try to crop more of it off or move the plate so back a nudge so there is more table showing. Posted: 04/14/2021 09:52:22
They look good enough to eat. Your focus stacking worked out well; it's nice to have that depth of field. Good color and I like that you left a little green in there as well. It's looks to me like the plate is tilting to the right, and all that white to right pulls some eye balls away from your main subject. Posted: 04/21/2021 13:46:10
