About the Image(s)

I shot this last month while on a trip to Puerto Rice. These were growing in my back yard. I liked the juxtaposition of lines and layers of colors. I am not sure about the blown out highlights in the background. I tried "burning" them down a bit. I would love your thoughts. I also shot this hand held with my Panasonic Lumix GF6 camera and 14-42 mm lens. I am experimenting!!

Such an interesting pattern. I like the way the colors go from dark to light because it brings my eye from foreground to background. You have good details in the foreground leaves. I think this would make a nice monochrome image as well.   Posted: 11/14/2020 10:40:51

I like the strong diagonal lines and sense of depth this image gives. The white spots in the background are a little distracting. While you are experimenting, you might try blending in some other color or textures into those white spots using layers and Blend Modes.   Posted: 11/15/2020 09:39:20

You could blend some other color in the blown areas as Bob suggested, but I first thought the blown areas were part of the pattern. I like the detail on the foreground leaves. Cindy's suggestion to try monochrome on this image might help the blown out areas even more. I commend you on noticing the pattern while traveling.   Posted: 11/19/2020 14:40:38

A strong use of lighting, color and texture. My eye wants to go deeper into the picture searching out the patterns. Good job.   Posted: 11/25/2020 09:36:02
