Octopus Cactus by Cindy Lynch

November 2019 - Octopus Cactus

About the Image(s)

For me, this photo was more about textures and lines than the whole plant. I used Color Efex – Detail Enhancer and Tonal Contrast to post process this image. Settings: f/8, 1/100, 50 mm focal length and ISO 3200 (phot was taken in a darker room).

I've never seen a octopus cactus before. Very interesting lines and textures. I really like the color, and you have sharp focus. I think a tighter crop might be nice on this to remove the darkness around the corners.   Posted: 11/03/2019 17:54:53

I ave never seen a cats like this either. It is an interesting subject. I would crop in as well and make it a very abstract piece. It works especially if you everything is really sharp.   Posted: 11/12/2019 10:05:34

This is spectacular to me ...great composition and color and I like that the edges are 'burnt' in a tad.   Posted: 11/16/2019 15:41:40
