I can tell you know a lot about the insects you photograph. You know the name of this dragonfly. I didn't know its name.
I really liked the soft background and the color. My only suggestion would be to get a little closer and wait until it spreads its wings. If you are patient and still, it will come back to the same spot even if you are there. Focus on the open wings to catch the beautiful lacework.   Posted: 09/08/2019 11:24:06

I love your depth of field with the dragonfly so nice and sharp and the background beautifully blurred. The dragon fly pose is unique and interesting. My only, very small suggestion is to slightly darken the edges to help keep the eye in the frame. I tried that with Nik Color Efex Darken/Lighten Center. Nice job!   Posted: 09/09/2019 07:03:42

I definitely agree with he crop and the blurred background so you focus in on the dragonfly. However, the whole image feels grainy to me. That may be a result of cropping in as opposed to shooting closer up.   Posted: 09/17/2019 07:33:09
