Sleeping Swan by Cindy Lynch

October 2018 - Sleeping Swan

About the Image(s)

Settings: f/9, 1/160 sec., ISO 100, 200 mm. I also changed the exposure compensation so that the whites would not be blown out. I then sharpened, adjusted the contrast and used Nik Color Efex Darken/Lighten Center to get the lighting effect I wanted.

This is beautiful. The white feathers in the front have such good detail.

I think your processing is just right & wouldn't change anything.   Posted: 10/06/2018 15:02:04

I love The shape and curved lines accentuating the softness, and the detail in the feathers all are done beautifully. Finally, your image tells a story. Well done, again, Cindy.   Posted: 10/14/2018 19:54:10

I love the curved lines and the contrasting textures of all the feathers. The dark background works for me, but I do find it a little disturbing that the Swan's neck disappears. I would rather see the whole neck.   Posted: 10/17/2018 07:43:44

Hi Cindy. This is a really beautiful image. I love your composition, the lighting and your processing treatment. My only comment is to agree with Jessica - I would like to see a little more of the neck, so I connect it with the body.   Posted: 10/23/2018 18:19:47
