About the Image(s)

I love the blue color of these delphiniums. I did my painting of them entirely in Corel Painter.

Wow, this has been a month of flowers!
And each and all have done such great jobs.
I really like the realistic aspect of the painting.
the flowers are all beautifully displayed.

This painted version is exquisite. Your painting is subtly Impressionistic, which I love. I absolutely love the Corel painting techniques and brush strokes you have used. The subtle pinks all over the painting bring my eyes right to the upper right and the beautiful large pink bouquet.
I've said before that I definitely like the mood and quality of all Corel paintings. I paint only in PS, and I can definitely tell the difference. Someday, I'd like to take the plunge into Corel.   Posted: 12/08/2019 08:28:42

I really enjoy the beautiful paintings you produce with Corel. I have the program too and lately have just been doing PS Mixer Brush, but you get some truly impressive artwork with Painter which is the reason I get all the updates. The colors here are beautiful together. As an idea, you may want to consider using the elements and create a different cut and paste composition. To my eye, this composition jumps around a bit . The Delphinium on the right leads my eye out of the image and the pink one seems to have a great deal of space between them and feels a bit disjointed. In my visual feedback, I played around by combining the elements in photoshop. Just an idea.   Posted: 12/08/2019 09:43:04

Thank you, everyone, for your comments, and especially to Nancy for your composition suggestion. It definitely is more effective.   Posted: 12/10/2019 19:33:38

A masterpiece as usual Elinor. You should be giving classes with the excellent results you get with your paintings. Well done again.   Posted: 12/13/2019 07:19:36

What I like the most is the exciting juxtaposition of the vivid colors of blue and pink that really called my attention. The slight suggestion of impressionism calls to mind a gentle breeze catching these petals. They are just randomly-located enough to be in a real live garden and I find myself looking for butterflies on the blossoms.   Posted: 12/26/2019 15:57:09
