About the Image(s)

I started working on this a while ago, but it seems that I painted over the original!

I retook the picture last week, but the windows were in a different position and the flowers were yuchy. I apologize and ask you to use your imagination. All the painting was done in Corel Painter. I cropped it in Photoshop and ran a Curves layer.

You dont need to apologize for this painting. The cropping and the abstract background are very good effects.
I really like the way you have rendered the flowers.   Posted: 10/03/2019 16:02:35

I applaud you for "seeing" the potential in this window box of flowers. Many would have walked right past it. Love, love, love the abstract paint strokes on the windows and building. The flowers themselves must have taken so long to paint; they look great. And the flower's shadows add to this image's appeal. This image is wonderful and you've made it so much better; so I would not worry about painting over the original.   Posted: 10/04/2019 10:44:28

Thank you Cyril and Cindy. Actually, the flowers were amazingly easy to do. I painted a semicircle using two shades of pink. Then I added a dab of a darker color in the center.I didn't fuss with trying to make them very realistic.
A painting teacher told us to always add some light color to a window, rather than making it black.   Posted: 10/04/2019 16:59:04

Lovely image . Your choice of colors truly add to the image . You enhanced the composition with the diagonal line of the left flowers and the right straight down flowers to keep my eye in the image and away from the left side with lots of needed space on the right,
One thing to consider is the top of the frame. My eye wants to see more of the frame , but I think I would like more of the wall on top of the window frame so the white didn't draw my eye out . Just an idea.

Fantastic artistic eye to see the possibilities. Like others I would have just walked by. The flowers and greenery are superb .   Posted: 10/20/2019 13:26:02

Considering you had to recreate your entire image from a much-less appealing recent look, you succeeded in getting a natural-looking painting. I can scarcely believe the photo had anything to do with the final painting after you improved it to such a degree. One thing I really admire is the shadows on the wall behind the graceful floral swags.   Posted: 10/29/2019 13:55:27
