About the Image(s)

The model was at a workshop at an NECCC photo conference. I painted the entire photo using Corel Painter, with the exception of the shaft of light. I added that in Photoshop, using an embellishment from Studio Magic. I had trouble with her bonnet because not much detail was visible in the photo. I solved that by letting her go bonnet less.

the addition of the shaft of light really provides the finishing otuch & draws one directly to the baker.
I also like the way you excluded all detail form the background and gave it a blurred abstract appearance.
The painting of the model is excellent.   Posted: 06/06/2018 08:17:17

I like the old painterly style in this picture and the addition of the shaft of light is just the right touch!

Nice hair flip! The light streak is cool too.   Posted: 06/19/2018 20:50:23

Just outstanding. I like the way you handled the background and your use of brushes and strokes in Painter. Simplifying the dress added an old historical look. Nice use of shadows and highlights in your paint strokes. The extra touch of the light shaft coming in adds to the quality and story telling of your work.   Posted: 06/27/2018 02:57:33
