About the Image(s)

I took this photo in East Hampton, Long Island. Even in March the place is crowded! I liked the evening light on the gravestones and that the house, windmill and gravestone in the foreground form a triangle. It was taken with a Canon PowerShot G3X at 1/1250 seconds, f/5.0, ISO 125 and with an EFL of 90 mm. I made minor adjustments in Lightroom, lightened the windmill in Viveza and the converted it to monochrome in Silver Effex.

This is a lovely B&W Image. The shadows are great, the light is awesome. My eye weaves it's way through the headstones to the windmill. Our Windmills are very different to this one. There is a slight haze which gives the image a peaceful charm. I love it just the way it is.   Posted: 04/10/2021 01:36:58
