Road Train by Gail McTaggart

September 2020 - Road Train

About the Image(s)

I took this image on a trip through Western Australia. Northern WA is a very vast desolate place with towns few and far between, but lots of mining. Road trains are very plentiful as it's a cheap and convenient way to transport, just about everything you can think of. This road train cares iron ore.

Taken with my point and shoot Panasonic. F3.5, 1/2000, ISO 125 Focal Length 12.12mm.

I thought I saw my remarks to you posted three days ago, but they are not there now, so either I am losing it or I didn't hit the submit button!

This is a sharp image with great detail, color and leading lines to the cab as the road train travels forward. I love images that tell a story and I enjoyed your explanation.

Well done!   Posted: 09/12/2020 23:50:19

I've never seen nor heard of this. Great image with a wonderful perspective showing the long length of this road train. I'd toss in a little more saturation for additional pop. It's very interesting.   Posted: 09/15/2020 05:48:05

Nice perspective Gail. I wish I could see a bit more context of what/where the truck is going. Technically the photo is sharp with leading lines taking us across the train. For a sunny day the exposure and depth of field look great.
