First time attending the cowboy shootout at the fair. It was hazy, action was fast. Unfortunately I did not adjust my camera settings when taking this one. I put this in lightroom and cropped. That is all I did to the image.

I like the light on the horses mane and the fact that the cowboy and horse are looking in opposite directions. Maybe some tighter cropping and vignetting to make the sky less white would help? Not sure. Here is a version.   Posted: 08/07/2019 08:09:07

I'm with Alec on this one. I'm also of the opinion there is no such thing as a bad picture of a horse (not really) but he beat me to the punch on the crop. This is good example that pictures that tell stories do not have to be complicated. Nice.   Posted: 08/08/2019 15:55:42

I like the way the light attracts the viewer to the cowboy and horse looking each way for a story left to the imagination. The vignetting is a great idea that nicely fills in the bright empty space.   Posted: 08/10/2019 11:36:23

I'm not sure I'm liking the vignetting I'm thinking I might prefer a gradient filter over the top I will give that a shot and resubmit on here so you can see it   Posted: 08/18/2019 00:09:48

I like this one with the hint of color and the tighter crop. When in doubt crop closer is where I usually start to put the subject right in the viewer site lines.   Posted: 08/28/2019 08:18:10
