About the Image(s)
While out taking photographs this past Autumn, I took out my 50mm prime lens in an attempt to capture some insects (mostly crickets/grasshoppers). Fortunately I was able to get a close shot of this guy at a vacant field in a local park. For this photograph I used an aperture of f/3.5 with a shutter speed of 1/800 of a second, ISO 200, and a focal length of 50mm. Post processing includes normal image sharpening, adjustment to contrast, cropping, tonal adjustments.

Nice work on the depth on field. The focus for the background and the subject are right on. Too bad you couldn't get a little more to the left so more of the cricket would be show on the side of the stick.   Posted: 01/02/2018 12:58:47
Sharp focus on the cricket even shows the little hairs on the legs and lower body. This viewpoint creates a sense of movement up the stick.   Posted: 01/08/2018 14:30:06

Very, very sharp focus with a nice blurring of the background. The stalk heading off at 45 degrees adds to the image.   Posted: 01/22/2018 15:49:15
A great nature image, perfect background. Sharp as a tack, a real winner.   Posted: 01/23/2018 20:42:16
