About the Image(s)

I owe my inspiration for this month's image to Brad Becker, who commented that the frog's eyes in my January image might visit him in his dreams. I remembered that when I recently was looking inside a suitcase, dreading to find some dirty socks or whatever I might have left unpacked.
I originally thought to use the red scarf as a tongue emerging from the suitcase, but that didn't work the way I wanted it to. Still, I liked it as a balance

Peggy, I am honored to be given credit for inspiration for this image. Your handling of the black and white has a nostalgic feel for me. I think this image may enter my dream world too. There's something about the low contrast handling of the frog that feels off for me. I wonder if you went more towards darkening and increasing the contrast if that may be more compelling.   Posted: 04/09/2021 00:08:32

Instead of finding dirty socks, you found ET. He not only phones home, he stowed away to get there. You have created a subtle, humorous image. I'm curious to know, if you used a B&W adjustment layer, what the image would look like if you added color only to the frog. It might turn from humorous to spooky.   Posted: 04/09/2021 16:56:39

This is so fun Peggy! I love the concept and what you've done here.
To me, the frog needs to be more clear. I had to look at the original to understand what I was seeing...
Otherwise, wonderful!   Posted: 04/10/2021 15:38:16

Great idea. I love the B/W. The frog could be sharper and with more contrast   Posted: 04/10/2021 17:07:21
