About the Image(s)

I usually make my own Christmas cards using my photographs. This image seems to stand on its own to be entered into our monthly show.
At first I added the front ripples from another Death Valley image. Then manipulated and added the shopping mall Christmas tree and the star with tails.
On my Christmas cards I added a ‘Merry Christmas’ greeting.
Wishing you all a happy Christmas and a very great photographic 2020

Your desert shot makes me want to grab a lot of water and go for a walk. A Christmas tree in the desert is a novel idea and is well rendered here. However, the edges of the desert, the tree, and the sky look too cut-and-pasted. This detracts from the fine job you did on the tree and the desert. One more if I may. The star by itself without the trail would be more impactful. This image has potential. Revisit it from time to time.   Posted: 12/18/2019 15:11:20

A great Christmas image!
Wonderful depth of the landscape . I can feel the depth in your original but you really enhanced it even more. Perhaps it's the colors, or maybe the way you brought out the texture in the sand.
Gorgeous sand dunes! Love those curves.
Wonderful composition. You have so much in there but nothing is crowded, and there's a nice dynamic balance.
Love the star. I really like the trail too; it was clever of you to use the Christmas lights.
Perhaps a layer of the trail with motion blur at low opacity behind the lights would be interesting.
I'm sure this image brought a smile to everyone who has seen it.   Posted: 12/25/2019 14:27:42
