About the Image(s)

A little bit of an Edgar Allen Poe thing for the Halloween season. Tried to tell a visual story.

A fascinating image - enough to make one shudder. Love the area under and around the crow. Well done all round. One little crit is the grid at the top of the house between bird and man. it drew my eye away from the main story.   Posted: 10/03/2019 09:01:55

Betty, Thank you, that is very helpful. I will try to eliminate that distracting element.   Posted: 10/04/2019 17:21:51

Great image for Halloween. Just looking at the image,
before I read your description, I thought of Edgar Allen
Poe. Hiding the face leads the view to the crow.   Posted: 10/04/2019 17:33:00

The blending in this composite works very well to communicate a Halloween-esque image. The colors belie the traditional Halloween colors, but I think that works well also. Personally, I would prefer a blended face on the body and a more transparent raven to add more of a dream-like quality. Nice work.   Posted: 10/07/2019 15:42:24

Very spooky, Brad!
I like what Aavo said about hiding the face leads your eye to the crow. That's how it works for me, too.
I think the light through the trees is very effective.

Personally, I might try it with a bit less of the window blinds at the left, and a touch of the orange near the bird.
