Very stern and beautiful!
I am particularly fascinated by the layers and transitions on the left side of the image. I love your use of red; it suggests flames, especially given the title. The geometric shapes seem to entrap her. Her expression suggests that she has been enduring this for an eternity.
I'd love to know what your original 1 image was a picture of. And Original 2 - is that a picture of something, or did you create it digitally?

At first I thought that your image would be more interesting if the cone shapes were softened, but I tried it in Photoshop and found that instead the power of the image was diminished. So I endorse your vision!

Personally, I might consider cropping a tad off the left and darkening that back ellipse just a tad, but that is just my taste. I really love your image as it is.

I have to apologise everyone, was travelling when I sent this and didn't have time to write the details.
The first original was another image that I have warped in the App. iColorama.
The second is some lights and the third has a sunset sky added to it.
The mannequin was taken from this side of the display window which has all sorts of weird reflections on it....which I don't mind.
Peggy...yes, I should have darkened the second light! Thank you!.
Forgot to say that I combined the images in the App Leonardo. I guess you have realised that all my images here and on Facebook are iPhone images and edited on the iPhone or iPad.   Posted: 07/05/2017 18:43:08

Very interesting and compelling image, Phillipa. I like how you used the one spot behind her head as a halo. The red very effectively conveys the "dark" in the title. At first I was going to suggest masking some of the texture off her face, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. Then I read your description and realized it was part of the original.
The one thing I noticed is that there seem to be a couple places on the mannequin that seem to have gotten blown out in the processing.
I don't use an iPhone or Mac, so I am totally unfamiliar with the apps you're using. Whatever they are, they seem to be effective tools for you. Congrats.   Posted: 07/08/2017 09:13:40

A very dramatic and eye catching image. The face is hard and sharp so I can understand Peggy saying it would lose something by softening the cone shapes. Their effect is great as with the ovals though I do not like the "halo" behind her head, but that is a personal thing.   Posted: 07/08/2017 13:01:01

A very attractive image. I like the way you combined the three different originals. Especially using the red color to unite them.
Perhaps darkening the two larger ovals would emphasize the angel. Also moving the small, oval little lower to be part of her persona.   Posted: 07/12/2017 16:13:09
