November 2021 - Smiling Snowman

About the Image(s)

I shot this image with my first digital camera, a Panasonic DMC-FZ20. With the Holiday Season approaching, I dove into my archives and located an image I took in 2007. I just began to try my hand at night photography and holiday lights. Post editing I used Elements to crop, change the lighting and eliminate distractions. I'll be interested if the group's comments match my critique. For starters, I know it's too cluttered.

It's fun to look back at old images & see how far we've come. The clusters of lights give it the holiday feel & they are nicely blurred. The problem for me is the subject of the snowman isn't sharp.   Posted: 11/22/2021 06:38:31

This is a fun image and definitely conveys the feeling of the holidays. For me, it's a bit too yellow, so I changed the white balance.   Posted: 11/22/2021 09:29:55

Love the overall feel of the image and thought it told a nice holiday story. I agree that it was a bit blurry and somewhat busy.

I have sharpened the image and cropped it tighter on the inflatables.   Posted: 11/29/2021 17:20:15
