Fall Colors by Brenda Frezeman

November 2021 - Fall Colors

About the Image(s)

Here is a shot of early fall in Colorado. Interesting fences are one of my favorite subjects. Here I used a small aperture to get the sun star in between the tree branches. I did basic processing in Lightroom and a little more adjustment in Photoshop.

Brenda, I'm not a fan of sun stars, but you nailed the placement perfectly. A small, detail, but I would eliminate the blue color on two fences on the tree trunk. For me, it takes away from the autumn golden color. I like the irregularity of the fence. Did you consider adding a few birds in flight to the large blue area in the top left? Nice work on this peaceful scene.   Posted: 11/20/2021 21:58:58

The sun is in just the right spot and its rays certainly draw the eye there. It does rather pull too much focus, but there's no info left there to ease it back successfully.

I do agree with Rusty about the blue posts. Here's a rendition with the posts more grey:   Posted: 11/29/2021 21:39:53

I didn't even notice the blue on the posts. But your version makes it much better. Thanks Tom and Rusty
