About the Image(s)

Sol is a colleague of mine. We saw this mirror at his house and thought it would be something fun to try. I like the feel of it in B&W.

Canon R5, ISO 1000, 1/200, f4, 80mm. Mostly natural light with one off-camera flash for fill.

Thoughts? I didn’t do a lot of processing on the B&W image.

Monochrome was the right choice for this powerful portrait. I especially like the reflection that is looking away, giving us an additional view into this stately gentleman. This is a keeper, Dan!   Posted: 04/17/2021 12:55:13

Dan, Perfect for monochrome. Composition is spot on with the mirror image. Good job!

If you hadn't converted it to mono I would have. Nailed it   Posted: 04/18/2021 11:05:48

Tremendous portrait! Monochrome was definitely the way to go. And you chose a great angle.   Posted: 04/18/2021 11:33:33
