About the Image(s)

This image was taken in Dorset in the UK in Windows on Wildlife using my Canon 70D and Tamron 150-600mm lens on a gimbal mount. I adjusted the levels and cropped it in Lightroom. Used Luminar 4 to enhance some of the finer details and used Nik Define 2 for noise reduction

Lovely story of gardening and birds. Wonder what the conversation was about. They sure looked engaged in conversation. Nice work Miriam!   Posted: 05/17/2020 02:08:19

This is an amazing tableau, with the birds in apparent conversation as Rusty said. The birds, pot & trowel pop nicely from the background which is a nice bokeh.

My 2 suggestions are noise reduction and removal of the blurry leaves along the bottom. Here's an example of what I mean:   Posted: 05/18/2020 15:41:03

Tom nailed the distraction at the bottom. I missed it, trying to imagine the conversation.   Posted: 05/18/2020 21:39:30

Oh my! What an exciting capture. It is improved by the removal of the blurry bits. The trowel adds scale to the image. Beautiful and clearly focussed.   Posted: 05/18/2020 16:06:27

Hi Miriam - nice capture. I like the colors.
I tried a few things - cropped it a bit - and straightened it with the flower pot as level. Did some shading on the bottom and trowel. Added a slight vignette.

I just realized I edited your original.
I do like what Tom did to remove the leaves on the bottom.   Posted: 05/18/2020 17:06:38

This is a wonderful, unusual capture. It draws the viewer in and makes us wonder about the conversation/story. I agree with Tom about removing the blurry leaves. I like the original composition, not the cropped version which is too close to the trowel for my taste. Great textures on the birds and nice soft background.   Posted: 05/18/2020 17:31:18

Brenda, Agree with you on the cropping of the trowel.   Posted: 05/18/2020 21:41:41
